South Asia Research Fellow
Neeli Shah is a South Asia Research Fellow at the New America Foundation. She writes, edits, and publishes content on Foreign Policy’s South Asia Channel, a premier clearinghouse of news and analysis from and about Afghanistan, India, and Pakistan concerning issues of politics, security, and economics. She is also a graduate student at Johns Hopkins SAIS in Washington, D.C., where she serves as the President of the Energy and Environment Club.
Prior to the New America Foundation, Neeli worked as a corporate lawyer, where she researched, drafted, and negotiated transactions in sectors including nuclear, industrial, financial, technology, education, defense, energy, and bio-technology. She earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Franklin & Marshall College, and a J.D. from the University Of Maine School Of Law.
